About this item

This holder locks into any AXA or BXA quick-change tool post and keeps a dial indicator dead-on the lathe axis, cutting 4-jaw centering and runout checks down to seconds. It comes with a precision dial indicator reading .0005" over 1" of travel, plus the Allen key needed to mount it — nothing extra to buy. The body is machined 6061 aluminum with a red anodized finish and no plastic parts. Note the 1/2" shaft requires a tool post built for 1/2" tooling, not 3/8".
