BOSS DS-1 Distortion Compact Distortion Pedal

About this item

The BOSS DS-1 is the compact pedal that started it all back in 1978, and it's still built the same way today. It delivers a sharp, cutting distortion that stays defined at high gain, plus a tone knob that gives you a wide spread of sounds from subtle crunch to full-on heavy. Many classic rock tones you know were shaped by this exact pedal.

• Original BOSS distortion pedal, in production since 1978 with its unchanged classic design
• Hard-edged attack that stays clear even at maximum distortion, great for riffs and solos
• Lower the distortion setting and it works as a clean booster for extra flexibility
• Wide-range tone control lets you shape the sound from mellow to razor-sharp
• Keeps the natural character of your guitar and pickups instead of masking it
• Rolling back your guitar's volume cleans up the tone without getting muddy
