About this item

The NF-8508 (AT338) is an all-in-one tool for network and fiber work, combining a LAN cable tester, PoE detector, optical power meter, and visual fault locator in one device. It checks CAT5/CAT6 cables for wiring faults, measures length up to 200m, and traces cables up to 600m via scan mode, while also reading PoE voltage and PSE standard (802.3af/at). On the fiber side, it measures optical power and attenuation across seven standard wavelengths and pinpoints fiber breaks with its 650nm laser. A handy extra: it can sense live AC voltage without touching the wire.

Tests CAT5 and CAT6 cables (STP & UTP) for open, short, and crossed wiring
Measures cable length from 2 to 200m, with wiremap/scan range up to 600m
Built-in PoE tester reads 5-60V DC and identifies IEEE 802.3af/at standard power
Doubles as an optical power meter (-70 to +10 dBm) and visual fault locator with a 10mW/650nm laser, covering wavelengths 850-1650nm
Detects AC voltage without contact and checks RJ45 crystal head crimping quality
Locates ports by making the switch/hub light blink, runs on a 3.7V lithium battery with auto-off timer
