About this item

This Kürschner set brings authentic baroque sound to a 4/4 violin, built entirely from gut strings tuned to 440 Hz. The E and A strings use oiled and Florentine gut, while the D and G strings are fine silver-wound gut for a warmer, rounder low end. Diameters run from 0.56 mm on the E up to 1.45 mm on the G, and the E-string comes without a ball or loop end.
