Thames & Kosmos Mega Cyborg Hand STEM Experiment Kit | Build Your Own GIANT Hydraulic Amazing Gripping Capabilities Adjustable for Different Sizes Learn Pneumatic Systems

About this item

This kit lets you build a giant robotic hand you wear like a glove, using water-filled hydraulic pistons instead of motors or batteries to move the fingers. With over 200 pieces, you assemble a mechanism strong enough to grip and lift everyday objects, and you can configure it as a left hand, right hand, or claw to fit different hand sizes. A 40-page full-color manual walks you through construction and explains the science behind pneumatic and hydraulic systems used in real industrial robotics.

• Assemble a wearable mechanical hand from 200+ plastic parts, moved by your own fingers
• Runs on water-filled hydraulic pistons — no batteries, no motors
• Fingers grip with enough force to pick up bottles, pencils, and small objects
• Builds in three setups: left hand, right hand, or claw, with joints adjustable for most hand sizes
• Includes a 40-page full-color manual explaining how pneumatic and hydraulic systems work in real industrial robots
• Winner of the 2021 Toy Association STEAM Toy of the Year award
