Compatible With Mazda For 626 1998-2002 For Protege 1999-2003 Idle Air Control Valve IAC Auto Replacement Parts FSN5-20-660 Idle Motor

About this item

This is a replacement Idle Air Control Valve (IAC) for Mazda 626 model years 1998-2002 and Mazda Protege model years 1999-2003, cross-referenced to OEM numbers FSN5-20-660, FSN520660B, and E9T06871. It manages the bypass air entering the engine to hold a stable idle, using a spring-loaded plunger that resets to its default position if power drops. A gasket is included for the mounting flange, and the valve should be fitted with even torque across both screws as specified on the housing.

• Fits Mazda 626 (1998-2002) and Mazda Protege (1999-2003) — OEM FSN5-20-660 / FSN520660B / E9T06871
• Regulates bypass air to the engine so idle speed stays steady and the car doesn't feel like it's about to stall at stop lights
• Built-in return spring brings the plunger back to its default position automatically if power or signal is lost
• Comes with a gasket for the mounting flange; install with the two screws tightened evenly, torque usually 8-12 Nm per the housing spec
• Helps keep idle steady when AC, fans, headlights, or power steering kick in and pull extra load
• Check your plug pins and mounting hole layout before ordering — motors vary by vehicle and the wrong one won't fit
