This U.S. Solid solenoid valve is a 3/8" brass, 12V DC, direct acting, normally closed valve fitted with a VITON gasket for use with fuels, gas, and air. Its brass body resists corrosion and holds up under higher temperatures, but it's not meant for drinking water or other water systems. The coil is designed to run cooler than older versions, starting at 19W and settling to roughly 10-13W once it reaches operating temperature. Note that it's meant for intermittent use only - avoid running it continuously for more than 8 hours at a stretch.
