About this item

The NF-8508 (AT338) is a multifunction network tester built for cable installers and technicians working with CAT5/CAT6 lines and fiber optics. It combines a wiremap tester, PoE checker, optical power meter, and visual fault locator in one tool, letting you test cable length, locate breaks, check crystal head crimps, and verify PoE voltage/type. It also includes non-contact AC voltage detection for quick safety checks on site.

Tests CAT5/CAT6 (STP & UTP) network cables for open, short, and crossed wiring, plus RJ11/RJ45 crystal head quality
Built-in optical power meter and visual fault locator (650nm laser) to find fiber breaks and measure optical power/attenuation
PoE tester reads DC 5-60V and identifies IEEE 802.3af/at PSE type on live network lines
Measures cable length from 2-200m with breakage location, and traces cables via port blink on hub/switch
Detects AC voltage presence from 50V-1000V without contact
Runs on a 3.7V lithium battery with auto-off timer (15/30/60 min)
