About this item

CURT 56172 is a vehicle-specific wiring harness that connects your Ford Explorer's factory electrical system to a standard 4-pin trailer connector. It installs by plugging directly into existing wiring, so there's no cutting, splicing, or soldering involved. Once installed, it powers your trailer's tail lights, brake lights, and turn signals, and comes with a rubber dust cover to shield the connector from dirt and weather when it's not in use.

Plugs straight into your Ford Explorer's factory wiring — no cutting or splicing needed
Gives you a standard 4-pin flat connector for trailer tail, brake and turn signal lights
Built specifically for select Ford Explorer model years (check fitment before ordering)
Grip tabs on top and bottom make plugging and unplugging the connector simple
Includes a rubber dust cover to keep the connector protected when not towing
