About this item

The ALFA AWUS036AXM is a USB adapter that brings WiFi 6E into your PC or laptop, running tri-band on 6GHz, 5.8GHz and 2.4GHz with AXE3000-class speeds up to 3Gbps. It plugs straight into USB 3.0 (or USB 2.0) and ships with two detachable 5dBi antennas plus an L-connector for tighter setups. Keep in mind it needs Windows 10/11 or Linux to run, with 6GHz only available on Windows 11 or Linux, and it has no driver support for macOS past 10.15 or Apple M1/M2 chips.

Tri-band WiFi 6E USB adapter (AWUS036AXM) covering 6GHz, 5.8GHz and 2.4GHz, rated AXE3000 with wireless speeds up to 3Gbps
Works over USB 3.0 for full speed, still runs on USB 2.0 ports
Comes with 2 detachable 5dBi antennas, plus an L-connector so it doesn't block nearby USB ports
Needs Windows 10 or 11 (32/64-bit) or a recent Linux kernel; only Windows 11 or Linux unlock the 6GHz band, Windows 10 caps out at 2.4/5GHz
No driver support for macOS past 10.15 and no support for M1/M2 Macs
This is a USB receiver for a PC or laptop, not a router — it won't connect to phones or TVs, and it works with any router or mesh setup though it performs best paired with a WiFi 6E router. Supports WPA3 security
