About this item

This is a two-piece threading holder set for metal lathes, pairing a 1/2" internal boring bar (SNR) with a 5/8" external bar (SER), both compatible with AXA/BXA quick-change posts. It comes with 10 TiN-coated carbide inserts (16ER/16IR, AG60, 60° angle) that cut clean, accurate threads in steel, aluminum, brass, and stainless steel. The holders are nitride-treated so the insert seat stays flat and square, avoiding the tapered threads you get from cheaper holders.

Combo set: 1/2" SNR internal boring bar + 5/8" SER external threading bar, fits AXA/BXA quick-change tool posts
10 pcs 16ER/16IR AG60 inserts, 60° profile, for accurate thread pitch on steel, aluminum and brass
TiN-coated carbide inserts hold up under heat and resist wear, even cutting stainless steel
Nitrided holder body keeps the insert seat square, so threads don't taper out over time
One kit covers both internal and external threading jobs on a metal lathe
